La administración municipal en cabeza del alcalde Maurice Armitage, a través de la Secretaría de Salud, se suma a los eventos oficiales de la 62 Feria de Cali mediante la jornada de esterilización de 100 mascotas (caninos y felinos), en el marco del Festival de Mascotas, el próximo 28 de diciembre en el Parque La Flora.
Para ello, se instalarán dos unidades quirúrgicas móviles que contarán con personal veterinario calificado y los insumos requeridos.
La convocatoria de inscripción que estará abierta hasta el 30 de noviembre se realizará a través del correo electrónico mascotas@corfecali.com.co Las personas interesadas deben enviar el formulario de inscripción a dicho email.
Algunos de los requisitos que deberán cumplir las personas interesadas en acudir con su macota son:
- El propietario debe ser mayor de edad.
- La mascota debe tener la vacuna antirrábica vigente.
Previo a la jornada de esterilización se adelantará una capacitación dirigida a los dueños de las mascotas, en la cual se les contará acerca de los cuidados pre y postquirúrgicos, y se les brindará información sobre la tenencia responsable de mascotas. A esta jornada los inscritos deben asistir sin su mascota.
La iniciativa tiene como propósito evitar la procreación de animales en condición de abandono y vulnerabilidad, promoviendo la tenencia responsable y el bienestar animal. Los 100 cupos para esterilización se distribuirán de la siguiente manera; 60 para gatas, gatos y perros, y los 40 restantes serán para perras.
Los cupos serán asignados a las primeras 100 personas inscritas que cumplan con los requisitos. Se brindará un cupo por cada persona inscrita.
