El Desfile del Carnaval de Cali Viejo es uno de los eventos más esperados por miles de caleños y turistas que buscan evocar las tradiciones y memorias históricas de Cali a través de personajes, mitos y leyendas.
Este año 30 comparsas se preparan para una puesta en escena en la que el concepto principal será ‘Amando a Cali’, en el que se destacan diferentes elementos como lo son la gastronomía, el cine, la música y el baile representativo de la ‘Sucursal del Cielo’.
Por ejemplo, el taller teatral El Globo viene participando de este evento desde los años 80 y para el año 2006 empezaron con la caracterización de los reconocidos diablitos, en esta ocasión la temática será ‘amando el aguaelulo’
“A través de nuestra comparsa queremos evocar la costumbre caleña de los años 70 y 80 en la que los jóvenes salían a bailar los domingos desde las 2 hasta las 8 de la noche, inicialmente se hacía en casas y luego pasó a otros sitios. En esta rumba no había nada de trago, solo se tomaba una bebida que se llamaba aguaelulo”, aseguró Gladys López, directora del taller teatral El Globo.
Esta comparsa cuenta con alrededor de 30 artistas y músicos, quienes se vienen preparando desde hace varios meses para darle a Cali un show lleno de arte, cultura, danza y mucho color.
“Estamos trabajando en una puesta en escena no solo de danza, sino también de teatro, pues una de las características más importantes de este Desfile es la interacción con el público y en nuestro caso es fundamental transmitir ese mensaje de una tradición que fue tan importante en la ciudad como el aguaelulo para así tocar las fibras de los asistentes”, mencionó Jorge Vanegas, director artístico del grupo teatral.
La invitación es para que este año no se pierdan este 28 de diciembre el Desfile del Carnaval de Cali Viejo, que en su versión 101 trae un espectáculo lleno de novedades, las cuales fortalecerán los lazos de la caleñidad.
